Hallowed Ground & Cracked Concrete is a film documenting experiences of the sacred on some of New York City's most storied basketball courts. We invite legends and ordinary street ball players at The Rucker, The Cage, The Goat Park, and Soul in the Hole, to share their experiences of pain, joy, and transcendence on these hallowed grounds.
Dr. Onaje Woodbine is an expert in black religious thought and the study of Sport & Society at American University, author of the nationally-acclaimed book, Black Gods of the Asphalt, and consultant on the critically acclaimed film, High Flying Bird.
